Bone Club PROs

One of our goals for 2022 has been to launch new partnerships with backgammon Grandmasters as we look to extend Bone Club to professional and semi-professional international audiences. This month we are absolutely thrilled to announce the first Bone Club Pro to join our team, U.K. backgammon royalty Sebastian Wilkinson.

We recently met Seb at the Imperial Cup in Blackpool and instantly connected over a shared passion for beautifully made backgammon boards! In a recent competition in Ibiza Seb was asked what his dream board would be, to which he did not hesitate to nominate the Bone Club WONDER—an excellent choice if we may say so ourselves! Sharing this story with us at the event was the beginning of what we hope will be a long and successful relationship.

Seb will now become a Bone Club ambassador, representing us at international competitions and introducing the Bone Club boards and brand to the professional and semi-professional market. We are also planning on launching a brand-new Bone Club Pro board in collaboration with our newest member. This will be a jointly designed project that draws on the insights of Seb’s extensive playing experiences and Guy’s professional craftsmanship and artistic flair. Like nothing else we’ve produced so far, this board will have a truly top tier specification and a showstopper aesthetic to match, making it the finest pro-grade board available.

Launched next year this will be a limited-edition board with only 10 being made. We are hugely excited about this unique new project and can’t wait to share it with you. If you would like to be the first to hear about these boards launching, please drop us an email at and we will happily share the progress of the board’s development every step of the way.

If you want to get on the waiting list to get your hands on one of these beauties as soon as they launch be sure to drop us a line as spaces are now opening up.

Seb will be competing on the International and U.K circuit this year, expecting to be at all the major events and we hope winning plenty of silverware under the Bone Club banner! If you do see him, don’t be shy, Seb will be more than happy to chat about all things Bone Club and help you find your dream backgammon board. Alternatively if you’re not making it out to any competitions this year but still want to chat, you can contact Seb via email on

He has represented the UK live and online and been a part of every team success, winning tournaments all over the world from Tblisi, Georgia (World Cup) to Coppenhagen, Denmark. (Nations Cup)

Sebastian together with UK Grandmaster legend Julian Fetterlein launched “Backgammon Workshop” ( This partnership provides a tuition service for players looking to improve their game to a high level. Its students have had great success and big tournament wins.

Sebastian officially became a Grandmaster after averaging a PR of 2.71 at BMAB in December of 2017, at the time it was the best ever performance at an international 2-day BMAB event by a very clear margin.

He was voted #30 on the Backgammon Giants list for 2017.

In 2019, after winning the Aldo Fava Memorial Open in Turin, Italy and the Mochy Quiz in Montenegro he flew to Tokyo, Japan to take on the young prodigy Kazuki in the Mochy Challenge during the Golden week of celebrations in Japan as the emperor abdicated. Needing to win both matches and PR on the final day Sebastian averaged 2.3 PR and won the challenge.

He also won the online UK National Championships along with New York, Gibraltar and Blackpool Super Jackpot final appearances that same year.

In 2019 Sebastian was voted #18 on the Backgammon giants list.

2020 saw a great start to the year winning the Doubles event with partner Chris Rogers at the World team backgammon championships in Forges-les-eaux, France.

Two weeks later after travelling through Thailand he made the final of the 64 player 1k event in Melbourne Australia.

Just a few days after arriving back from Melbourne it was time for the UBC in Gibraltar.

Sebastian finished with the equal 3rd best average PR of 2.68 (BMAB) out of the 25 Grandmasters, he had the lowest average checker play PR of 1.97, the only Grandmaster under 2 PR.

Sebastian feels incredibly grateful for being introduced to the wonderful game and the opportunities it has provided. It has been an incredible experience travelling the world and getting to know so many truly magical people.

He is hoping to run tournaments in Ibiza, his home for the past few years, when things get back up and running.
